You are welcome to come and stand in the yard. This is where your order gets batched, pressed, cured and stacked, and you can watch it happen before you place one. There are no photographs on this page yet, because we would rather show you nothing than show you someone else's plant.
How a batch is made
Raw material to pallet.
Raw materials
Graded aggregate and cement, batched to a mix design rather than by eye. The aggregate source and cement supplier are named on request.
Batching and mixing
Materials are weighed to the mix design and mixed to a consistent moisture content. Consistency here is what makes dimensions consistent later.
Pressing
Units are vibrated and pressed in steel moulds. Pressure and vibration time are held constant, which is what holds the dimensional tolerance SANS 1215 asks for.
Curing
Units cure until they reach their nominal strength. Nothing green leaves the yard, because a unit that has not cured will crumble under a trowel and fail a crush test.
Palletising and dispatch
Cured units are stacked, counted, wrapped and staged for collection or delivery, with a delivery note that states the batch.
Capacity
What we can actually make.
Running out of bricks stops a site, so the honest answer to “can you supply this” matters more than an optimistic one. These are the figures we will publish, and until the press is commissioned and running we would rather show you the blanks than a number we cannot stand behind. Ask us and we will tell you where we are.

Health, safety and environment
Nobody gets hurt loading your order.
Concrete manufacture is dusty, heavy work with moving plant, so safe working practice is a condition of operating rather than a policy statement. We run controlled procedures on site and manufacture in a way that minimises environmental impact, particularly around water use in curing and the handling of waste material.
Visitors are issued with the right protective equipment and walk a defined route. Delivery vehicles and visitors use separate gates.
